Invisalign

First visit

During your first visit to our office, our dentist will conduct a thorough dental exam to review the status of your current oral health and to resolve any possible dental problems prior to the treatment. Once an examination has been conducted, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to make your Invisalign aligners. These aligners are then given to you with instructions on how to use and take care of your aligners

Transparency

Many of our patients choose Invisalign because its aligners are transparent. The aligners are made of medical grade plastic components, allowing Invisalign to be discreet. Although they are transparent, they will still be slightly noticeable to someone near your face.

Removability

Invisalign aligners are the only alternative to traditional braces that can be removed at your convenience. Although our dentist will recommend wearing them as much as possible throughout your treatment, it is nice to have the option to remove them for a special event or for eating and drinking.

Treatment Time

The duration of your Invisalign treatment depends on the severity of your case. However, the average time for this treatment is about 12-15 months.

No Harmful Toxins

Many patients have begun to choose Invisalign because it’s made up of BPA-free plastic and does not have any plasticizers or other dangerous toxins that can be released into your mouth.

Maintenance

Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign are easy to clean. Our dentist will suggest cleaning them as often as you clean your teeth. To clean them, you can simply run them under warm water several times a day.

Post-Invisalign Retainer

Once you have completed your Invisalign treatment, our dentist will suggest wearing a retainer. The retainer prevents your teeth from shifting into their original, uncorrected position.

Invisalign are not recommended for children or for patients with severe cases. For further information about this treatment, or to schedule an appointment, call us at 904-292-1002 in today. Our dentist and team are here to answer any questions you may have.
